Love

Love

In two weeks it will be 27 years since I found her wondering aimlessly and gallantly guided her back toward her room on choir tour. She has put up with my shenanigans ever since. Must be #love. I know it is on this side of the camera.

Funny thing is though… it has grown into something different over the years. Not better, not worse, just different. That is life. I am a firm believer that love is not at its core romantic, it is deeply practical, and solid and necessary. Oh don’t get me wrong…. there is more than enough room for romance and it is even needed at times, but what we often define as love is just the echo’s of the real thing.

In Lent we are reminded that the deepest love of all took on human flesh, dwelt among us and gave itself up for us so that we might know true life, and true love.
